Healthy Fast Weight Loss isn’t a Myth

It seems like every time you turn around, a celebrity or pseudo-doctor is yammering on and on about some great new diet that allowed them practically lose weight overnight. Almost as soon as one of these diets rolls across social media sites, a small army of health experts are quick to state that not only doesn’t the diet work, but that the fast weight loss fad diets are dangerous and can lead to a wide assortment of health issues.

While it’s true that fad diets are rarely a good idea, it’s also important to point out that, despite popular opinion that a plan that helps you safely lose weight fast is more elusive than the mythical unicorn, fast weight loss can occur. You just have to be prepared to make some life changes. You also have to set realistic weight loss goals.

There are two things you need to do in order to start swiftly dropping your unwanted pounds.

  • You need to reduce your appetite by sticking to foods and drinks that are packed with nutrients, low fat, and will work to suppress your appetite.
  • You need to boost your metabolic rate which not only burns calories, but also makes you more energetic.

Decrease the Starches and Sugar

Losing weight quickly doesn’t mean you have to run out and spend a small fortune on pre-packaged miracle meals, all you really have to do is make a few tweaks to the foods you purchase each week. When you halve the amount of sugar and starches you eat each week, you’ll experience fast weight loss.

Both of these foods not only stimulate insulin production, but they also contribute to fat storage. By decreasing the amount of starches and sugars you consume, you’ll decrease your insulin production and your body will begin to use its fat stores for energy.
