Science and Society Agree: A Tea Detox is a Good Thing

Despite the fact that there always seem to be some C level celebrity ranting about the wonders of a detox they’ve just tried that made it possible for them to get thin for a sexy role, as a rule, society tends to look down on detox diets. One reason for the low opinion of detox drinkable diets is because they seldom work. Another is the fact that they can have a devastating impact on the dieter’s overall health. Especially if the individual tries to detox for more than a few days at a time. There is one notable exception to the rule: tea detox.

Not only is there a slew of testimonials from people of all walks of life raving about how they were able to successfully use tea detox to shed some pesky pounds and improve their life, in this one instance, science actually agrees that tea detoxes aren’t a bad idea.
In 2013, a group of researchers that came from the United States, Italy, and the Netherlands got together and conducted a study that ultimately proved something most people already suspected, the regular consumption of tea lowers blood pressure, decreases the risk of strokes and heart failure, can be a mood elevator, and enhances mental performance. The study also revealed that it’s useful for boosting energy levels while helping you lose weight.

Before you throw away everything in your pantry and replace it with boxes and boxes of tea, you need to understand that while tea is wonderful, it’s not something you can survive on. You do need to eat something while your detoxing, so create a menu for your detox period, just make sure it’s full of healthy food choices that are high in protein and low in starches.

At this moment, science hasn’t been able to prove the one other thing people believe to be true of tea, that it purifies the human cells, but that doesn’t mean you should write off the tea detox. Science does agree that tea does support the process of detoxification which is equally important.

With the exception of diet teas, all teas are good for you, but some make a better tea detox than others. When you want to cleanse your body and prepare for a new diet, you should stick to green or black tea. Herbal and sweet teas are the worse for detoxification. What makes green and black teas such a great choice for a tea detox is that they are loaded with all kinds of antioxidants that our body uses when it cleanses itself. It’s these antioxidants that do things like cleanse our blood of free radicals and the oxidative stress that could lead to development of chronic diseases such as cancer.

When you use Fit Tea for your tea detox, you want to make sure you drink it right after you get up in the morning and again before you go to bed at night. These are the times when your system is in desperate need of a cleaning. Many people choose to use Fit Tea several times a day, with some reporting that they enjoy up to 7 cups of the tea each and every day and that they’ve never felt better.
